Deborah Frontiera is an award winning children's author. The second book in her series, Eric and the Enchanted Leaf: A visit with Canis Lupis, won the North Texas Book Festival's award for children's books in 2007 and the first book in the series, Eric and the Enchanted Leaf: The First Adventure, was an Honor book for the Texas State Reading Association's Golden Spur Award in 2005. A mother to four girls, Deborah enjoys writing for all genres. She began writing her fantasy trilogy, The Chronicles of Henry Roach-Dairier, in 1992 and saw the first book in print in the fall of 2000. Liz Garton Scanlon is assistant professor of creative writing at Austin Community College, a mother of two daughters, and the pen behind the pages of A Sock is a Pocket for Your Toes (illustrated by Robin Preiss Glasser and published by HarperCollins). The book was hailed in School Library Journal and Kirkus Reviews; was a finalist for the Children’s Crown Gallery award and a selection in both Junior Library Guild and Children’s Book of the Month Club; and inspired a Virginia Tanner Creative Dance Program performance. Don Tate is an award-winning illustrator and author. Books he's illustrated include Summer Sun Risin', by W. Nikola-Lisa, and Sure As Sunrise, Stories of Bruh Rabbit and his Walkin' Talkin' Friends, by Alice McGill. His first authored book, a Lee & Low Books New Voices winner, will publish in 2010.
P. J. (Tricia) Hoover grew up near D.C. visiting museums and dreaming of finding Atlantis. She eventually married and had two children, shifted her dreams to reality, and began a writing career. Her middle grade science fiction novel, The Emerald Tablet (Blooming Tree Press, October 2008), tells the story of a boy who discovers he's part of two feuding worlds hidden beneath the sea, and is the first of a trilogy, The Forgotten Worlds Books. Before writing full time, PJ Hoover worked as an electrical engineer in Austin, Texas.PJ is a proud member of The Class of 2k8, a collaborative marketing group of debut novelists with YA/MG novels coming out in 2008.To learn more about P.
